Piotr Pluta, MD, I am an oncologic and general surgery specialist. Since 2017 I have worked at 1st Department of Oncologic Surgery at Nicholas Copernicus Voivodship Specialist Centre for Oncology and Traumatology in Łódź. I am a coordinator of Breast Cancer Unit (BCU) in this place. Between the years 2002 – 2016 I was an employee of 2nd Department of Oncologic Surgery at Nicholas Copernicus Hospital in Łódź – Oncologic Surgery Clinic of Medical University in Łódź. Between 2009 – 2016 I held position of a didactic adjunct at the Chair of Oncology. In 2001 I graduated from the Medical Academy in Łódź. In 2005 I defended my doctoral dissertation on sentry lymph node biopsy in breast cancer. I am an author and co-author of over 40 scientific publications concerning different aspects of cancer treatment, as well as a theme of cancer biology.
